In Pawleys Island, South Carolina, we tried to take an early morning bike ride on the beach. In theory, if you hit low tide, the sand is hard enough to ride on. The guy behind the desk at the hotel, though, gave us the 2013 tide tables. DOH!
Needless to say, we just had to leave behind the beach and use the bike path. It was an awesome ride on a cloudy, chill morning. On the way, we found cactus pears at an unoccupied rental house. Nom nom nom. We harvested them, and squeezed the juice into a fine 9-year old, small batch bourbon.
The salt marsh in Huntington Beach State Park was very much alive. There has been a strong volunteer effort to rebuild the natural oyster beds there. It’s always nice to see a habitat rebuild effort!

OMG. I LOVE the BIG chairs! LOL
Looks like you two are having a blast. Hugs
Are you thinking of Lily Tomlin in the big rocking chair? Or maybe Ghallager jumping on the huge couch?
